The regime’s incompetence and economic mismanagement has not spared any group or sector of our society. One such group is the educators of our children who suffer from censorship, sever work restrictions and unbearable economic conditions. It is devastating to find our children’s teachers to hold second and most often third jobs – unrelated to their professions – just to make ends meet.
Sadly, while significant portions of our national assets are being exhausted in support and promotion of radicalism and terror networks worldwide, the Iranian teacher is unable to even afford substandard housing.
Today, however, the educators of our society have courageously stepped forth and are demanding their rightful needs for improved economic, social and intellectual conditions. Similar to the labor force as well as our students, our educators too are embracing nonviolent civil disobedience as a method of political defiance in our national struggle for freedom.
The unwavering support for the rightful demands of our teachers is an imperative. Peace of mind, well being and economic stability for our children’s educators will reflect on generations to come.
I invite all freedom seeking Iranians, especially the students, to not hold back in support of our teachers in their quest to achieve their rightful demands.
