[Reza Pahlavi, Son of Former Shah of Iran]: “I think we all stand united on what the people of Iran demand, which goes back to the issue of the sanctity of the ballot box and ultimately the question of sovereignty. And, at this stage of the game I think we should all make sure that this movement carries on. We should all stand behind the demand that the Iranian people have.”
Pahlavi said the voice of the movement should continue to be heard, even if it has been silenced on Iran’s streets.

“This is their movement and we have to stand united and support it. This is the only way we can guarantee that this movement will stay alive and will not die, and it must not die — not only for the sake of Iran, but I think for the sake of humanity.”
He called on governments to offer alternative solutions, including further sanctions. He said there were many avenues still open for the international community to put further smart sanctions on the regime without getting to a point where it could hurt people.
Thousands of people have protested in the streets of Tehran, and around the globe, after the disputed June 12 presidential election.
